The fifth in Han’s “O’Connor Family Mysteries” (after Texas Baby Conspiracy) centers on Garrett O’Connor, the ne’er-do-well son of the ranching family, and aspiring web designer Brianna Adair, who reunite after a chance encounter. The two dated briefly as teenagers, and after Brianna has a run-in with a mysterious stalker, Garrett realizes he couldn’t bear to lose her again. Along with Brianna’s stalker, Garrett is also following up on mysteries introduced in the previous installments, the inclusion of which may turn away newer readers.
VERDICT The most dedicated series fans will appreciate this most, while casual readers may put it down.
