This latest series from New York Times best-selling author Arend (A Rancher's Heart) has wonderful characters—some of whom are cowboys—and romance and will make readers want to know more about Heart Falls and the folks who live there.
In the final installment of the "Thompson & Sons" series, Arend (Let It Ride) delivers another steamy love story wrapped up in believable and engaging characters struggling with real-life problems and situations. The series doesn't need to be read in order, so if readers enjoy A Wild Ride, they'll want to go back and meet the rest of those at Thompson and Sons.
Fans of Arend's previous works (Rocky Retreat) will enjoy the animalistic passion, wry humor, and strong characters they have come to expect from the author. New readers just might find themselves hunting down her "Takhini Wolves" and "Granite Lake Wolves" series for a longer read.
Enjoyable characters and emotional issues dealing with family, loss, holidays, and grief set the stage for another great series by Arend (Rocky Ride; One Sexy Ride) filled with strong men and the women they love, set in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. A companion to Arend's "Six Pack Ranch" series, with some crossover characters, though it can stand alone.
Will Rachel be able to overcome her fears of starting a new relationship with a much younger man? Will Lee be able to reassure Rachel that not all men are like her ex and that even though he is young he is more than capable of being the man she needs? Don't miss this latest from Arend (Rocky Mountain Romance).
Small-town romance fans will enjoy this quick, fluffy read, but they likely will quickly forget about it. An optional purchase where Arend's books (e.g., High Seduction) or the subgenre is popular.
The intense sexual encounters between Gem and Shaun, paired with the thickness in the air of an always lingering fight, are sure to keep the pages turning. Readers who find novels like Kerrelyn Sparks's The Vampire and the Virgin appealing will surely enjoy taking a bite out of this first title in the "Takhini Wolves" series. Arend's (Breaking Waves) latest is a steamy weekend escape from reality.â€â€Leslie Jean Cerkoney, Elk Grove Village, IL
