Lindy is a strong, relatable character who doesn't easily depend on others but is loyal to those who have actually gained her faith. Gabriel has depth; he knows he is trying to make amends for the past and at the same time remains his confident and cocky self. A great read for sf romance fans.

The third installment in Bachar's "Cy'ren Rising" series (after Nightfall and Morningstar) will please its fans by focusing not only on the male/male/female romance of three established characters but by bringing back fan favorites Bryn and Jace. Readers who haven't read the first two books may be confused by the already acknowledged feelings among the three protagonists, preventing them from investing in the birth of the relationship. The adventures are interesting, however, so fans of m/m/f will probably enjoy this work as long as they also like sf heavily interspersed with a few sex scenes.

This paranormal romance focuses on a different set of characters from previous titles in the series, but fans will enjoy the harder edge to Patience. Her relationship to the demonic faerie Faust also makes sure to keep the romance in this urban fantasy.
