Clark, once again, nimbly handles the warp and weft of her interwoven characters and story lines, knitting them into a satisfying conclusion that will leave readers eagerly anticipating another Brinkman episode.
Well-developed characters and a story arc that leaves the reader hanging are a surefire way to bring fans back for the next installment, and Clark has wisely left that door wide open. Should appeal to fans of Lisa Scottoline and David Baldacci. [See Prepub Alert, 11/7/11.]
Rachel Knight is a heroine along the lines of V.I. Warshawski and Kinsey Millhone. Employing a quick and humorous writing style, not to mention surprising plot twists, Clark most likely has another best seller on her hands. [See Prepub Alert, LJ 11/15/10.]
