In this deliciously written romance, readers will root for the couple while still sitting on the edge of their seats waiting for the mystery to be solved.
Wrapping up the multi-author “K-9s on Patrol” series after Scent Detection by Leslie Marshman, this entry, which can be saccharine and overdramatic, isn’t essential.
This romantic suspense novel from Diaz (Simon Says Die) is reminiscent of early Sandra Brown and Catherine Coulter, when those authors were still known as romance writers. The story here is not all about the romance yet the romance is not pushed aside as it would be in a harder-hitting mystery/suspense novel. A good selection from an author this reviewer expects to be big in the coming years.
Nonstop action, breathtaking sexual tension, a number of plot twists, a tough hero with a tender heart, and an emotionally vulnerable heroine who comes into her own will keep fans engrossed in this well-done Harlequin Intrigue debut. Diaz (Simon Says Die) lives in northern Florida.
