Geary is an accomplished cartoonist and storyteller, and these installments in his long-running series on American crime are sure to satisfy fans of graphic novels and true crime alike.
Teens and adults who like a simple murder plot will find this fast-paced whodunit a fun read. Fans of Brooks who would be interested in seeing her in a fictional setting may relish her in the "role" of detective.
As labors of love go, this series is an offbeat yet fascinating one; sadly, there's no shortage of these stories for Geary to cover. Obviously not for all tastes but highly recommended for mature readers of graphic novels, mysteries history, and true crime; violent and disturbing content, suitable for teens and up.
This is a fascinating account of scandal and a still unsolved murder that could have been ripped from today's headlines. It would be an excellent suggestion for any true crime aficionado, even if they have never read a graphic novel.
