An excellent book told with spirit and verve and enough spaceflight details to satisfy even the most dedicated student of the program. [Prepub Alert, 11/1/16.]
This thoroughly engrossing book contains a plethora of information and is not bogged down by statistics. Although it's intended for the casual reader, academics and anyone interested in psychology will find it an invaluable resource. Those looking for a self-help title may be interested in Sandy Hotchkiss's Why Is it Always About You?? (2003). [See Prepub Alert, 3/10/14.]
In a July 6, 2006, story, "The New Science of Siblings," Time senior writer Kluger noted that while scientists trying to figure out what really shapes us have hit successively on parents, genes, and peers, they felt that they were missing something...
Kluger's well-researched and beautifully written work is recommended for readers interested in the history of the Pacific Northwest. It is also valuable for those interested in how the final stages of the concept of Manifest Destiny played out in western North America.
