However, this book is not for the layperson; it is written specifically for those in the humanitarian aid/work industry. Because of this focus on the industry itself, the author assumes that the reader has a working knowledge of it, from its history and founding documents to current work practices and experiences. Anyone thinking of going into the industry, or those who are already in it, would do well to pick up this book.
