Lee’s (Booked on a Feeling) latest is a tender and sexy romance that foodies will absolutely devour. A great read for fans of commoner-and-royalty storylines, such as Alyssa Cole’s “Reluctant Royals” series.
Readers of Lee’s (One Night Only) trilogy won’t want to miss Chloe’s story, though new readers might find certain aspects, such as the hero’s motivations, less palatable. Marsh’s (The Inheritance Test) friends-who-start to-want-more-than-just-benefits story has wide appeal.
Lee has written another heartwarming, upbeat, rom-com featuring Korean American protagonists in the ultimate friends-to-lovers plot. Her third “A Sweet Mess” installment is a solid purchase.
Though Lee tries to create chemistry between her leads, much of their banter falls flat. Tara’s growth at the book’s end feels forced and insincere, and Seth’s journey offers no surprises. Fans of the first book will likely enjoy this follow-up, but new readers may be disappointed with the lackluster story.
Lee’s (Temporary Wife Temptation) latest is perfect for anyone who enjoyed Amy E. Reichert’s The Coincidence of Coconut Cake. Readers will get lost in Aubrey’s sugary creations while rooting for the characters to find their happily ever after.
