While those who feel the borders of their Christian faith are under threat may applaud the approach, those left on the outside may find this presentation less than thrilling.

Wax, the author of several nonfiction titles (Counterfeit Gospels; Holy Subversion) draws on the work of G.K. Chesterton to open a discussion between Chris and Gil (named for G.K.) about faith in his debut novel. Libraries with active book discussion groups should consider this title since it covers a broad range of topics in a short period and is enhanced with discussion questions for each chapter, not just the book as a whole. However, the question-and-answer dialog may limit the appeal for casual readers, so purchase accordingly.
