Spare prose and minimal embellishments make this excellent lone-wolf entry shine. If your readers clamor for Richard Stark's Parker novels, then Bridger is your new antihero to recommend. With vigilante action and a riveting lead, Hunt's book brings in the great elements of a Donald E. Westlake (aka Richard Stark) or Marcus Sakey (At the City's Edge) piece. Buy, read, and recommend highly.
While not the strongest entry in the series, Hunt's thriller (after Maitland's Reply) still has plenty of nonstop action, danger at every turn, and a savvy hero.
In his usual competent manner, Hunt introduces another loner protagonist doing his job against all odds. Fans of Lee Child's Jack Reacher series will like this title and may also want to try Hunt's Maitland thrillers (e.g., Maitland's Reply).
