Fans of the series will enjoy Andy Carpenter’s latest outing, which includes a complex but fast-moving mystery, plenty of offbeat characters on both sides of the law, and several dogs. Fans of the “Andy Carpenter” series will enjoy this 23rd outing featuring the talented but reluctant advocate (after Silent Bite), as will fans of brisk, dog-filled mysteries in general.
Fans of the series will enjoy this latest installment, and newcomers won’t be put off since not too much prior information is required to jump in. A treat for fans of horror writer Dean Koontz's A Big Little Life: A Memoir of a Joyful Dog, this book will inspire readers to look at their own dogs with a new appreciation—and to pay that love forward by helping a shelter dog in need. A story as poignant as it is hilarious.
Rosenfelt writes with sarcasm and a self-deprecating humor that is hard to resist. Although dogs take a backseat to the story, the author takes the suspense up a notch, and the riveting plot won't disappoint fans.
