A Circle of Uncommon Witches

Doreen MacKinnon’s family is cursed. Three hundred years ago, a MacKinnon witch broke the heart of Ambrose MacDonald. In his grief and fury, Ambrose had a powerful curse placed on the MacKinnon line—none shall ever find love, and without love, they will die by the age of 30. The MacKinnon witches imprisoned Ambrose, but the curse endures. Doreen is 29 and running out of time. She’s spent her whole life researching the curse but hasn’t found a way to break it. Desperate, she decides to release Ambrose and make him tell her how. The freed Ambrose cannot break the curse himself, but he agrees to help Doreen find the answer. Secretly, he’s only playing along so he can later use Doreen to take his revenge on her family. As they embark on a mysterious, ambiguous quest in a magical alternate world, their unspoken mutual attraction becomes stronger, although it may not be stronger than his need for revenge.
