A Home for All Seasons

Interior designer and stylist Prestney and photographer Cherry have collaborated to create a beautiful book showing how to integrate nature-based elements into interior design. Arranged by season (beginning with spring), each section of the book includes an overview of the season; the colors, textures, and materials appropriate to the time of year; tips on designing with natural elements; and instructions for creating a seasonal door decoration. Eschewing holiday-specific decor, the book demonstrates how to evoke the sense of each season using colors, fabrics, and found objects. The authors share examples of homes they designed with nature and the homeowners in mind, lavishly illustrated with Cherry’s lovely color photos: a French chateau, an 18th-century English stone cottage, a Swedish country home, a Georgian home in the Cotswolds, a London home, a medieval hall house, and a rental cabin in the Netherlands.
