Bathroom remodels add value to any home, and this book covers everything from layout to fixtures to how-to projects. Considerations of design and accessibility are illustrated, along with bathroom storage, fixtures, surface options, and more. The helpful pros and cons comparisons aide with planning decisions. The section on low flow fixtures and appliances is excellent, but the how-to chapter includes a kitchen sink installation that is unfortunately out of place. The book compares favorably to Black & Decker The Complete Guide to Bathrooms (updated 4th ed.) in scope.
VERDICT The advice is sound and evaluations are wonderful, though this lacks a large gallery of remodels.
