In their first book, they share some of their favorite recipes, and techniques and tips for grilling success. BBQ classics such as pulled pork, ribs, and chicken wings are well represented, but the authors also provide recipes for alligator, lamb, and venison. The directions are straightforward and frequently feature the use of the BBQ Pit Boys’ seasoning products, with DIY versions described. Cooking times listed in the recipes are occasionally off, especially when there’s a longer cook time; for example, the pulled pork recipe calls for one hour per pound of pork for an eight-pound roast, but the cook time in the recipe header lists the cook time as only one hour. All directions are specific to charcoal grills. Pitmaster tips and QR codes with links to videos are included with many of the recipes.
