Fairleigh’s take on a rebuilt postapocalyptic United States is wonderfully detailed. While there are some action scenes, it is the relationships between characters that move the story along.
VERDICT The third book in Fairleigh’s “The Elemental Artist” series (after Graphite and Turbulence) is an emotional story of family, friendship, and connection. Readers will be intrigued by the postapocalyptic setting and what has been left behind.
