In the 1980s, two rival Mafia families, one Irish and one Italian, control Providence, RI, unions, parking, police, gaming and other concessions. As long as they are moderate in their violence, the New York and Boston Mafia leaders leave them alone. The only vice they don’t control is the drug trade. A warped code of honor allows the two gangs to go about their business of extortion and manipulation. A tenuous balance exists between the two families until a beautiful woman steps out of the water at the beach. She sets off a chain of events that eventually destroys the balance and the peace between the two families and sets the city of Providence on fire. There are no heroes and few survivors. Narrator Ari Fliakos performs the appropriate regional accents quite well.
