Deep Blue

Cali feels like she is in the perfect place to jump off into the adult world: she has a yummy boyfriend on the line and a spot reserved for her at Harvard Law in the fall. Her summer job—dealing black jack at the Blue Casino in Lake Tahoe, CA, Cali's hometown—is the perfect way for best friends Cali and Gen to spend the summer before heading off to grad school. Cali's main objective other than to save money is to help Gen recover from a bad relationship. Then Cali's plans for the future start to fall apart. Her boyfriend breaks up with her, she loses her casino job, and she starts to question whether she really wants to go to Harvard or instead focus on her real love, art and design. To top it all off, her brother's high school friend Jaeger Lang starts hanging around. What to do? Is Harvard Law really her future, or do Lake Tahoe, art school, and Jaeger have more to offer?
