This fourth installment in the "Marietta St. Claires" series (after
His Christmas Bride) follows daughter McKenna St. Claire. An avid traveler, she has never stayed in one place for long—that is until she meets Wyatt Emmerson, an injured rodeo bull rider and single father. The relationship between the two deepens, but McKenna has a problem with commitment. When she escapes to New York, Wyatt tries to close that chapter, but then his mother develops breast cancer and his daughter goes missing. McKenna realizes Marietta with Wyatt is the only place she wants to be.
VERDICT Some issues with timing make the story less believable. Also, this reviewer found McKenna hard to like, though Wyatt and his daughter are appealing characters. Recommended with reservations; fans of the series will want to keep up.
