Not only has the author designed for the Charm Patterns studio, an independent pattern company, but she has a pattern line with Butterick too, so traditional pattern buyers might also recognize her name. Her book mixes the history of fashion with the origin story of the Charm Patterns studio. It also highlights the inspirations behind some of their earliest and most popular designs.
