Enter Everett, the charming ghost haunting said farmhouse, who takes great delight in adding to the hijinks in his desperate attempt to break a century-old curse. Gretchen and Charlie grapple with their feelings for each other and their own personal baggage as they attempt to help the mischievous ghost. The story is charming and hilarious, especially when mixed with Mara Wilson’s superb narration. Wilson imbues the characters with personality and charm, blending heartwarming and humorous moments into an irresistible concoction.
