Keeping Faith

When Faith Howells (Eve Myles) watches her husband, Evan (Bradley Freegard), drive away from their home in a small Welsh community for just another day at the office (their joint law practice), it never occurs to her that it may be the last time she will see him. Faith is on maternity leave, caring for their new baby and two young daughters. When Evan goes missing, Faith begins an exhausting juggling act of work, child care, and unraveling the enigma of Evan's disappearance. What she uncovers isn't pretty: criminal connections, drugs, money laundering, and a bankrupt law firm. And that's only part of the plot of this mystery-family drama! As Myles's character is pushed to the limits, some viewers may find her prolonged staring-off-into-space sequences (with appropriate melancholy music) and recurring outbursts perhaps overly dramatic. Faith's is an emotionally charged story of love and loss with a surprise ending that requires a second season for resolution.
