Juliette was floored when her daughter got engaged. She thought they hadn’t been together long enough for that, and they plan for the engagement to be short, marrying in just a few short months. Juliette’s own dating history hasn’t been great, and she wants better for her daughter. Lorenzo is happy about his son’s engagement, though he does think the wedding will be too soon. While discussing how they can potentially convince their children to extend their engagement, Lorenzo and Juliette realize they have sparks of their own. Surely, this can only cause more trouble, though. While these two initially may only want the best for their children, it’s a delight watching them find their own happiness along the way.
VERDICT Meier (It Started with a Proposal) pens an enjoyable contemporary romance for those who like their characters a little older and more experienced in life.
