True-crime podcaster Alix Summer is successful and social, but her husband’s battle with ever-worsening alcohol-use disorder is starting to wear on her. When she meets the reserved Josie Fair and the pair find that they share a birthday, Alix seizes the opportunity to delve into someone else’s life and makes Josie the subject of her new podcast.
