On a business trip to New York to pitch her dating app Kissmet, Harlow James doesn’t expect to meet someone who will change her life. She encounters Andy at a food truck and warns him about the undercooked chicken he is about to buy. Their friendly banter leads to a wager: he owes her a meal if he regrets his choice, and she owes him a meal if he does not. As fate would have it, they end up staying at the same hotel in New York and bond while exploring the city together. Andy is mysterious about his profession, but Harlow later discovers he’s actually Landon Burke, a highly sought-after NFL free agent. When he unexpectedly shows up at her home in Green Bay, Harlow must confront his secret and navigate their budding relationship in the spotlight. Andy has a tough decision to make himself—which team he will be signing with for the new season. They’ll also have to navigate media pressure and a potential long-distance relationship to be together.
