Not Your Ex’s Hexes

Asher’s second installment in the “Supernatural Singles” series (after Not the Witch You Wed) makes the most of the grumpy/sunshine, forced-proximity romance tropes combined with a paranormal twist. Witch Rose Maxwell can’t seem to get a break. After getting involved in a misguided horse rescue turned horse-napping, she is sentenced to community service at half-demon Damian Adams’s animal sanctuary. Sparks fly between grouchy Damian and independent Rose, with tensions rising as the two try to deny their growing attraction while tracking down wayward demons. This winning paranormal romance, superbly narrated by Zura Johnson, will grab listeners from the outset and have them laughing aloud throughout. Johnson’s pacing and voicing of the wide range of characters add to the fun, capturing the personalities of the leads as well as the dynamic secondary characters.
