Assistant District Attorney Emily Hernandez recently shared a week of unbelievable passion with the much younger private investigator Cormac Colton—a week that ended abruptly when Cormac unilaterally decided their romance was finished. On the day she discovers she’s pregnant with his child, Emily is nearly abducted off the street and once again finds herself in the company of the handsome P.I. He’s determined to keep her safe until her stalker is caught, despite the danger of becoming too close to the attractive attorney.
VERDICT While this isn’t a standout title, overall it’s a stronger story than the first book in this multi-author series (which was Colton’s Unusual Suspect by Marie Ferrarella), though it also ends without moving the needle much on the overarching plotline of what has happened to the Colton siblings’ honorary uncle.
