After being fired for an alcohol-induced online rant, Kate Rigsby didn’t mourn her miserable marketing job for long. Intent on turning around her “mediocre adulthood,” she quickly lands the perfect position, doing public relations for an upscale artists’ retreat—too bad she didn’t read the fine print. Rather than being posh and lovely, the retreat is run-down and so remote that escape is possible only via snowmobile or helicopter. Even worse, Kate is tasked with increasing revenue against a seemingly impossible set of standards. Then again, her new coworkers are turning into real friends—one particular colleague could offer much more. Her expressive portrayal of Kate and the quirky cast of supporting characters will leave listeners smiling.
