American captain Amos Foster arrives in England to find that a grandfather he never met has left him both a fortune and a friend. Finally, in “Picture a Christmas,” Mary is left penniless and without a home but is determined to keep moving forward. Through heart and hard work, she may save herself, and perhaps some others, on the way. Each story is charming and chaste. Though all the tales feature sorrow and suffering, the courageous characters within find love in the end.
