Bachar (The Sephra's Tear) does an amazing job of building an alternate history in which the Cold War never ended and has expanded across galaxies.
VERDICT Lindy is a strong, relatable character who doesn't easily depend on others but is loyal to those who have actually gained her faith. Gabriel has depth; he knows he is trying to make amends for the past and at the same time remains his confident and cocky self. A great read for sf romance fans.
