Sophie Shaw, a small-town reporter as well as a single and grieving mother, wants to buy back Tate Farm. But before she can plan to own the winery on the farm that holds a precious, personal memorial, Resort Group International (RGI) and its president, Duncan Jamieson, outbid her. Never mind that Duncan is a handsome single father and has had a crush on her since he visited Blue Moon Lake during their youthful summers. Her only hope is that the town's zoning board will halt plans for RGI's latest project. As town reporter, Sophie must uncover the truth to rumors of bribery on the part of Duncan and his company, as well as his family's involvement in a crime that was hushed up years ago. As Sophie and Duncan dance around their attraction to each other, the fight between RGI and the town's environmental protection group stirs the rumors. Lies and truths about family love and deceit are flung too fast for faith to take hold. Can the town's inhabitants, including Duncan and Sophie, learn to trust one another by forgiving the past?
