Debut author and illustrator ZD takes readers on a high-octane journey through a futuristic world where rampant corruption has transformed everyday life into a battle for survival. The story concerns the intertwined fates of two brothers. Following the death of their father years earlier, Zack and Joe Kazuma have led very different lives: hard-charging, aggressive older brother Zack is a police sergeant in the Mirai City police department, while Joe scrapes out a living delivering food and lives in terror of encountering conflict of any kind. In hopes of restoring the bond they shared years earlier, the brothers take a trip to a family cabin, where they discover a box containing some of their father’s old boxing gear. When their fond reverie is interrupted by an ambush from some gangsters who hold a grudge against Zack, the Kazuma brothers are forced to fight for their lives, and in doing so discover that donning their father’s old boxing gloves and cap seems to have imbued them both with incredible power—as well as a barely containable urge to engage in brutal combat.
