In a new series by Cardello (“Legacy Collection” and “Corisi Billionaires” series), savvy businessman Jesse discovers he has a twin brother he has never met. When posing as his farmer brother, Jesse meets Crystal, who is wrapped up in a familial scheme to buy the farm from Jesse’s brother. In the midst of drama, secrets, and intrigue, Jesse and Crystal fall head over heels for each other, but Crystal has no idea that Jesse is not who he says he is. When secrets are revealed, Crystal is left to decide if she can move forward with her love for Jesse.
VERDICT While Cardello’s long-lost-twin premise is no stranger in Romancelandia, the book ultimately falls short on believability and lacks charisma. It most likely won’t be missed on library shelves.
