Sometimes you unexpectedly become the thing that goes bump in the night. When her sister needs support, Rory takes a leave of absence to return to her hometown and be at her sister’s side. After catching up with an old friend one dark and misty night, Rory’s short drive home comes to a nightmarish end. She hits an animal with her car and ends up being attacked. Although her severe wounds quickly heal, she then starts craving meat and realizes she is much stronger than ever before. Rory begins to fear that she wasn’t attacked by a bear under that full moon, but the only other explanation is unthinkable. Narrator Kristen Sieh provides listeners with a riveting experience of Harrison’s (Cackle) latest. Throughout the story, told from Rory’s point of view, Sieh continuously imbues her performance with the character’s changing temperament and increasingly volatile emotions. Drawing the audience in with her impassioned narration, Sieh further showcases her talents with the subtle nuances of secondary characters’ personalities, allowing listeners to easily distinguish each one.
