Essy Raiker is an FBI agent turned bodyguard, first chosen by Declyn Bianchi to help him and his brother out of a little jam caused by a prophecy that may or may not be true. That leads to him hiring her to protect him, which in turn leads to them secretly marrying, and that is where the fun begins. This book is absolutely over-the-top while also being a lot of fun with engaging characters. Even though it is a contemporary romance, and not a paranormal, nothing about it feels like real life.
VERDICT Readers who are able to suspend all disbelief might think this is a lot of fun. However, those who need their books to make perfect sense should give this one from Tompsett (Insta Bride) a pass.
