Art thief and forger Sophie Williams has always worked alone. She rights wrongs and enjoys doing it, earning her the nickname Robin Hood. When her best friend and confidant, Lise, turns up missing and a murder happens on the steps of the gallery that Lise owns, Sophie might be in over her head, though. Following the trail of stolen art and staying one step ahead of the other fortune seekers, Sophie embarks on a journey to recover the three paintings of the late Princess Johanna and find Lise, convinced the two are tied together. When Brody “Mac” McKenzie first crosses Sophie’s path, she is undercover as the sixtyish Frau Bauernstein. Mac is sure that the Frau and Sophie are one and the same. What results is a lively goose chase that brings the two together to help solve a decades-old mystery and right wrongs with the help of the Speranza team, a secret society of women helping each other.
