The Horoscope Writer

Ex-Olympian Bobby Frindley needs a job. He’s hired on as the horoscope writer for a failing San Diego newspaper, but on his first day, he receives an email with pre-written horoscopes that are quite specific and deadly. He is told he must print them all. If he does, only one person will die. If he ignores them, all the fatal horoscopes will be fulfilled. Along with a skeptical coworker, Bobby tries to uncover the author/murderer. The more he investigates, the less sure he is that it’s all real. Bishop’s (Intergalactic Exterminators, Inc.) new novel takes astrology from a fun what-if to a gruesome who-next? Mara Wilson, James Babson, and Ryan Burke offer excellent narrations of Bobby, the detectives assigned to the case, and even the killer. Whether they are astrology fans or not, listeners should enjoy hearing each prediction and seeing how it manifests in subsequent crimes.
