This 12th book in Cassidy’s “Cowboys of Holiday Ranch” series (after The Cowboy’s Targeted Bride) follows a group of foster boys—now all grown up—who came out to help “Big Cass” on her ranch as children and who now are finding their HEAs, one at a time. Mac McBride is the “last cowboy standing” since he’s the last of the original boys to find a relationship. When Marisa Lindale hires him to help her new rescue horse, it’s a toss-up as to who is more standoffish and prickly, the horse or its owner, but Mac’s up to the challenge.
