In Snow Haven, NC, physical therapist Diana Merriman is the only person who isn’t looking forward to Christmas. Her fiancé, Linus, was hit by a bus three weeks ago and is in a coma for their first holiday together. When a friend visits and Diana finds the snow globe Linus bought for her, Diana is given the remarkable chance to relive the day of the crash in hopes of keeping Linus safe. But as she does so, Diana faces hard truths about her relationship, her job, and herself. Rains (The Good Luck Café) has written a sweet, Hallmarkian holiday novel. Although the narrative touches upon some heavy topics, narrator Thérèse Plummer keeps the tone appropriate for a holiday listen with her sweet and upbeat performance. The story offers important lessons on love, faith, hope, and healing. Each day, Diana learns more about herself and what is important to her as she grapples with the possibility of losing the partner she loves.
