We, the Jury

David Sullinger killed his wife the night before their 25th anniversary. Now a jury must decide if he committed premeditated murder. Eight jurors reveal how their prejudices, observations, and experiences influence their initial and evolved opinions. As with any isolated group, alliances and partialities form. Each juror observes and comments on fellow jurors, giving listeners the feel of being in the deliberation room. The judge has much more going on than a court trial, as she grieves for her recently deceased husband. The loyal court clerk struggles with balancing his duty to the court and his desire to protect the judge from her emotional turmoil. Rightly so, the listener is not privy to the inner thoughts and motives of the accused or the witnesses. Along with the jury, listeners are able to weigh the facts as presented in court. The voices and presentation of the full cast of narrators are as diverse as any California courtroom.
