Working Girls: Trixie and Katya’s Guide to Professional Womanhood

Picking up where the duo’s New York Times best-seller Trixie and Katya’s Guide to Modern Womanhood left off, drag queens Trixie and Katya offer advice to workers that no person should take, and look amazing (and delusional) while they do it. Sprinkling in tidbits from their “boy drag” lives alongside the identities and histories of their blonde drag personas, the comedy duo (featured on several seasons of RuPaul’s Drag Race) offer satirical wisdom on career choices, interviewing, “girlbossing,” illicit professions, and becoming a drag queen. (On the latter, they advise: “Don’t.”) For fans, this will feel like an extended episode of Trixie and Katya’s podcast, but with a little less interaction between the two. For those unfamiliar with the Drag Race stars, this work offers a look into what each drag queen is known for, with enough of a shared comedic voice to make this an easy, fun read. Of course, full-color photographs (over-the-)top it off and make up about half the page count.
