Annoyed Yet? Annoyed Librarian Blog Moves to LJ.com

I can say this much: popular, anonymous library blogger Annoyed Librarian (AL) is an academic librarian—but that’s all I know, even though this week, AL moved the blog over to LJ.com and settled into a “beautiful new corner office on the thirtieth floor overlooking the park.” Yeah, right. I can’t seem to find a 30th floor elevator button— but then again, I can barely see across the aisle from my dangerously overflowing, book-stuffed cubicle. But you can now find AL’s blog here at LJ.com. Not surprisingly, AL’s move to Library Journal, an occasional target of the anonymous blogger’s rants, seems to have really annoyed some readers—both AL’s and LJ’s. Some AL faithful seem to think LJ intends to muzzle or dilute the blog (no way!) or commenters (nope, not true, see our policy here). In fact, we know that AL will keep ruffling feathers, including our own, and on some level, I must say, we look forward to it. If you’re a fan of AL, you’ll see—same AL. If you’re curious about the blog, check out our brief Q&A with Annoyed Librarian.
