Pratt SILS Now Anchored in Manhattan

By LJ Staff

Pratt Institute's School of Information and Library Science (SILS) has moved to its new location at 144 W. 14th Street at Pratt's newly-opened Manhattan campus, which makes it the only library school with headquarters in Manhattan. While Pratt's main campus remains in Brooklyn, since the mid 1990s, more than 80 percent of the SILS classes have met in New York City. The new Pratt building will also house the Pratt-Manhattan Center Library, home to Pratt's entire Library and Information Science collection.
