Scribner has announced the August release of the complete canon of the works of Ernest Hemingway--or Hemingstein as he often referred to himself--as e-books. Though the author has been dead for more than half a century, his 23 volumes are the "cornerstone of Scribner's list" said Publisher Susan Moldow. "This is an important first step in creating a complete, scholarly electronic library for Hemingway, as well as bringing our classic backlist into the new era of digital publishing." Additionally, the publisher will also grant electronic permissions for use of the material in education courses and has created an e-mail address (hemingwaypermissions@simonandschuster.com) specifically for those requests. The e-books will be available for $9.99 at SimonSaysShop.com and Yahoo's eBookstore, as well as other venues.
