Stephen King Releasing Final Dark Tower Trilogy

By LJ Staff

So much for his retirement: Stephen King announced that the final three volumes in his ongoing Dark Tower series will debut this November with the release of Wolves of the Calla. That title, the fifth volume in the series, will be followed by Song of Susannah in summer 2004. The series will cap with The Dark Tower the following November. King will continue to release the books through small, indy publisher Donald M. Grant, with a full six-volume deluxe hardcover set being released by Viking. Plume handles the trade paperback editions and New American Library has rights to mass market versions. King will write a new introduction to the whole series and also has revised and enlarged The Gunslinger, which launched the story in 1982.
