Emily O’Connor MLIS - Assistant Vice President of Academic Support at Rasmussen College
Emily O’Connor serves as the Assistant Vice President of Academic Support, based in the Twin Cities office with oversight of Library, Learning Services, Military & Veteran Initiatives, Alumni Affairs, and Diversity & Inclusion. Emily begin serving the college in 2005 as a librarian at the Ocala, FL campus, and her role has expanded to include Library, Learning Services, Military & Veteran Initiatives, Alumni Affairs, Diversity & Inclusion, and cultural integration of Transferable Skills. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music from West Virginia Wesleyan College, a Master’s degree in Library Information Studies from Florida State University, and is currently completing a Doctorate of Education in Interdisciplinary Leadership at Creighton University. Emily frequently represents the college at national conferences as a presenter and board member for various councils and committees. Emily resides in the Twin Cities with her giant yellow lab, Pete, and spends her free time cooking, making jewelry, and training for races and triathlons.

Kara Kroes Li is Director of Product Management for EBSCO and has ten years of experience working on e-book products and services. In her current role, she helps EBSCO distill the evolving needs of libraries, end-users, and publishers into a product strategy. Prior to EBSCO, she managed global sales operations for OCLC’s eBook business and she holds an MA in English from the University of Colorado.
