Davidoff and Power create an easy-to-read, plant-positive guide to farming cannabis. The book is split into sections by season, which will be very helpful to a new farmer. It starts with the winter planning season and continues through the seasons up to harvesting, processing, and storing in the fall and into the winter. The authors, who started their gardening journeys with non-psychoactive crops, have since tried a number of different cannabis-growing techniques, from indoor under grow lights to outside in a large field. They share what they have found to work as well as what didn’t work. There are helpful photographs and charts throughout the book, for instance offering visual examples of cannabis that has not grown properly, whether because of pests, too much water, not enough light, and/or nutrient deficiencies.
VERDICT This book would be most useful to readers who already know something about cannabis farming but could also be helpful for those just getting started.
