Checklist of Library Building Design Considerations

Sannwald (marketing & management, San Diego State Univ.) calls upon his experience as a former manager of library design and development to present the sixth iteration of a comprehensive checklist for library design. Each chapter presents a series of questions about the design process and offers room for comments. This updated edition includes several new topics, such as accommodations for plus-sized patrons, entrepreneurial and collaborative spaces, preventive maintenance, and certificates of occupancy, among others. The book could have been enhanced by the inclusion of a CD-ROM allowing users to create a customized list of requirements.
