Discordia

Following the events of Memoria, Scorpia Kaiser is in the stars again, captain of her ship and with her siblings and crew all aboard and together. They are trying to recover from the war they started, and ended, and Scorpia is sure her plan will ensure their future, away from the politics and pain of their pasts, especially for her older brother Corvus, who knows what war can cost a person. Sticking to the plan to lie low, the Kaisers hold secrets that no government would want out of their control, and they are soon on the run again from multiple planetary leaders. Scorpia makes a choice that might keep her family safe but could cost her life. Then again, if the secret information her family holds about ancient weapons does not get out, it could cost the lives of every planet in the system. Corvus and Scorpia ground the entire family with their alternating points of view, and the relationships the siblings have with each other and those around them create vivid commentary on surviving war, family dynamics, and the cost of freedom.
